Welcome to the May 2019 Recall Roundup!
Though the official first day of summer might not be until June, Floridians are already enjoying the perks of summer! With the school year coming to an end and the weather starting to heat up, many Floridians are ready to hit the beach, pool, or park to soak up some sun.
If you’re planning a beach trip, backyard barbeque, or road trip this summer, be aware of these May 2019 product recalls.
Picnic Planning
During the summer, many people break out the picnic baskets and checkered blankets for a relaxing meal under the sun or by the pool. That’s why the May 2019 recalls of these picnic-friendly foods are something to keep in mind:
- Hearthside Food Services 7-Eleven “Italian Job” sandwiches
- Ralph’s Bakery bread products
- Caito Foods salads with chicken
- GHSW salads, wraps, and salad bar trays
- Deshi Distributors golden raisins
Far East Brokers also issued a recall for its pineapple corer and slicer due to a laceration hazard. So whether you’re serving up sandwiches, fruit, or healthy snacks at your next picnic, check the label before serving these brands and products.
If you enjoy seafood but aren’t into doing your own fishing, you should also be aware of two seafood recalls: Crab House Trading yellow walking fish and Seven Seas Biltmore smoked sockeye salmon. These two products were recalled for failing to obtain federal inspection and listeria concerns, respectively.
