Ford F-150 driver sought in connection to Florida car accident
The driver of a Ford F-150 may be responsible for an accident in Tampa, Florida, that killed one and injured four others. A police investigation is currently underway to locate the driver. It is unclear whether the driver was aware of the car accident. The scene of the accident that occurred at 7:30 p.m. was near the intersection of N Ola and W Waters avenues.
The driver of the truck reportedly performed an “erratic lane change,” which caused the 24-year-old driver of a white Jeep Cherokee headed west on W Waters to make an evasive maneuver to avoid a crash. This caused the Jeep to strike a Volkswagon Passat, which was traveling east. According to police, the truck believed responsible for the ensuing wreck is a dark gray F-150 with 12-inch black rims and an extended cab.
The 41-year-old driver of the Passat was killed by the accident. Her passenger and the two occupants of the Jeep were treated for injuries at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The roadway was closed for four hours following the wreck.
Whether the prosecutor intends to file criminal charges against the truck driver or not, the victims and their families deserve the opportunity to collect compensation. The loss of a loved one imposes emotional pain and suffering and often the cost of lost wages. Injured victims have medical expenses and sometimes face the reality of weeks or months of rehabilitation or a lifetime of permanent disability. Victims and families may be able to explore avenues of compensation with the help of a personal injury attorney.
