With all the construction on U.S. Highway 19 in Clearwater, it is very important that all drivers watch out for pedestrians, especially at intersections. The intersection where this accident occurred is close to St. Petersburg College. Although there is no indication that the pedestrian was a college student, it is even more important for motorists to be on the lookout for pedestrians close to schools. Equally important is that pedestrians adhere to the traffic control devices and use crosswalks.

Drive and walk safely. A few extra seconds can save a life or prevent a very serious car accident.
